Litigation Paralegal

The Law Offices of James Scott Farrin is currently hiring for a Litigation Paralegal within our Personal Injury department. The ideal candidate will be service-oriented, able to thrive in a busy fast-paced environment, and be able to handle a heavy case volume. Minimum 1-3 years litigation experience in a high case volume environment preferred.

Specific Job Skills Required:

-          Must possess excellent organizational and computer skills

-          Knowledge of file preparation procedure for court proceedings

-          Ability to prioritize work & to multi-task

-          Attention to detail

-          Ability to work with and coordinate tasks with attorneys and third parties

-          Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Outlook, and Excel

-          Familiarity with Needles as plus

Intake Attorney

The Law Offices of James Scott Farrin has 2 openings for a full time and part time Intake Attorney for their Durham office location. Must have 5 years of experience with a wide breadth of knowledge particularly in the areas of personal injury, social security, or workers’ compensation. Must be friendly and maintain a positive attitude while being able to multi-task efficiently.  Must be able to handle large client base professionally over the phone, outstanding customer service skills required.

Specific Job Skills Required:

-          Must be presently admitted to NC Bar

-          Must have 5 years of relevant experience

-          Must possess excellent organizational and computer skills

-          Proficiency with Microsoft Office is required

-          Ability to handle high call volume

-          Ability to prioritize work & to multi-task

-          Attention to detail

-          Fluent Spanish speaking ability is a plus.

-          Punctual/dependable
