Eric J. Sanchez - Chief Operating Officer

Root

When I joined the Law Offices of James Scott Farrin, in early 2000, the firm had six employees and two offices. Presently, the Law Offices of James Scott Farrin is one of the largest and well-known personal injury law firms in North Carolina. I am driven and determined, in my capacity as the Chief Operating Officer, to try to make our firm the most successful law firm, representing individuals, in North Carolina.

Presently, I am responsible for the growth initiatives of the firm, which include the development of new practice areas, the cultivation of new marketing channels, as well as other new business opportunities for the firm. I am the architect of most of the firm’s internal procedures and systems, many of which have been studied by other law firms from across the United States. I also serve as the Secretary of the Corporation and a member of the firm’s management group, which is the senior decision making body of the firm. Some of my former responsibilities within the firm have included: administration, business/practice area development, class action/mass tort management, financial management, human resources, and marketing.

Professional Background and Experience

I have a diverse educational background. I went through a variety of training in the Marine Corps, from special weapons, hand-to-hand, and combat training to a variety of avionics and specialized electronics schools. After the Marine Corps, I completed my bachelor’s degree in three and a half years, while working full time and volunteering. I have also studied both theology and psychology on the graduate level in both the United States and Canada.

I have a well-rounded occupational and volunteer background, and as a former Marine, focused and driven to be the best in all that I do. In addition to fulfilling my childhood goal of being a Marine, I also worked within a non-profit setting, serving with both youth and administration. In my capacity as a pastor, I worked with teenage children from varying backgrounds and socio-economic conditions. I have also coached basketball at the middle school and varsity level. In addition to my work with youth, I also oversaw many administrative elements of the non-profit as well as a multi-million dollar building project from fundraising, design, and financial management. I was a founding member of Triangle Mended Little Hearts (TMLH), a support group based out of Duke Children’s Hospital, for parents and caregivers of children who have a congenital heart defect.
