David Chamberlin
Director of Administration and Human Resources
I was born and raised in Ithaca, NY which is located in upstate NY, about 45 minutes south of Syracuse. Immediately following my college graduation I took at trip to North Carolina and fell in love with the warmth and hospitality it had to offer, so I decided to move to the Raleigh-Durham area when the opportunity presented itself in 2002.
I attended Ithaca College where I developed a strong passion for both business and customer relations. I wanted to pursue my degree in something that offered me both the challenges of business administration and the rewards of working with customers. That combination of interests translated into a Bachelor’s degree in Health Administration. As my career progressed I found that I wanted to continue my education and seek additional challenges in my career, so I attended Regis University where I received my Masters in Business Administration.
While working in the health care industry I primarily worked in customer service. Early on I worked for a small hospital located just outside of Boston, MA, primarily managing physician practices. I moved on to work for another small hospital in upstate New York, which was the primary hospital for an entire community.
After spending a few years in hospital administration I decided to move into an area of health care that would give me more direct interaction with customers. I began managing retirement communities, where I worked with seniors that were affected by Alzheimer’s disease. This was very challenging work but also very rewarding as I got to see the difference I made every day.
I was fortunate enough to come to work with the Law Offices of James Scott Farrin in 2007. During my time with the firm I have found that the mission and values that are held in such high regard here at James Scott Farrin closely resemble my own. I could not be happier then being able to work with a team that is driven towards providing its clients with the best possible service in its goal of helping the injured secure compensation for their personal injuries.
