2 people, including elderly driver, injured in Beulaville, North Carolina car accident

Two people were injured, including an elderly driver, in a two car accident in Duplin County, North Carolina on March 7 at 7:05 p.m. The accident occurred near Beulaville when a 2007 Buick was traveling north on Bay Road through the intersection of Sandlin and Bay roads, and hit a 1998 Dodge that was traveling through the intersection from Sandlin Road. Both drivers were transported by Duplin County EMS to Duplin General Hospital in Kenansville. The 81 year old Buick driver was cited for failure to yield right of way. Damage to the Buick was estimated at $10,000; damage to the Dodge, $5,000.
