At least 1 injured in Youngsville, North Carolina car accident

At least one person was injured in a one car accident in Franklin County, North Carolina on Jan. 30 at 1:29 a.m. The accident occurred in Youngsville when a 1992 Mercedes was traveling west on US 1A near NC 96, ran off the road to the right, collided with a ditch and slide into a stream. The Mercedes came to rest in the stream. A passenger in the Mercedes was clearly injured while the driver was potentially injured. Both were transported by Franklin County EMS to WakeMed in  Raleigh. The driver was cited for driving too fast for existing road conditions. Damage to the Mercedes was estimated at $3,000.
