DURHAM, North Carolina (March 30, 2010) Attorney Rick Fleming, managing attorney for the Social Security Department of the Law Offices of James Scott Farrin, participated as a Spanish-speaking lawyer at the North Carolina Bar Association’s (NCBA) third annual  “4ALL Statewide Service Day” on March 5.

Through the event, low-income people throughout North Carolina  could call a toll-free number and speak with an attorney about a variety of legal issues. Throughout the day, 424 attorneys fielded 8,467 calls from seven call centers located in Asheville, Cary, Charlotte, Greensboro, Greenville, Raleigh and Wilmington, North Carolina.

DURHAM, North Carolina (March 25, 2010) For the second consecutive year (2009 and 2010), Attorney Sean Cole, a North Carolina personal injury lawyer for the Law Offices of James Scott Farrin, has been named a “Rising Star” by North Carolina Super Lawyers. 

To be eligible for inclusion in Rising Stars, a candidate must be either 40 years old or younger or in practice for 10 years or less. Rising Stars undergo a rigorous, multiphase process which combines peer nominations with third-party research. Each candidate is evaluated on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement. Selections are made annually on a state by state basis. While up to five percent of the lawyers in any state are named “Super Lawyers,” by Super Lawyers magazine, no more than 2.5 percent are named to the Rising Stars list.
