DURHAM, North Carolina (October 8, 2009) - The Law Offices of James Scott Farrin announced today that it will be a Silver Sponsor in the annual Light the Night fundraiser to benefit the Eastern North Carolina Chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) on Oct. 22 in Durham , North Carolina.
“A key part of our mission is to give back to the community which gives us so much,” says James S. Farrin , founder and president. “It is with great pride that we support this worthy cause which has impacted so many of our neighbors, families and friends.”
The firm began its sponsorship with a $5,000 donation and has the goal of raising an additional $2,500 in pledges generated by members of the firm. A number of the firm’s employees have already signed up to walk, and others have made individual donations.
“Everyone at James Scott Farrin understands how important it is to contribute to the communities where we live and work,” Farrin said.
Light the Night events are held each year in communities across the United States and Canada. Individuals and teams gather pledges to raise money for blood cancer research, education and patient support.
