A prison guard and three inmates from the Caswell Correctional Center in Yanceyville were injured while on clean up duty in Person County.
The crew was struck by a 2009 Dodge van while picking up trash along U.S. 501 South, 2.7 miles south of Roxboro. On Sept. 22 at 9:40 a.m.
The guard and one of the inmates were transported to Durham Regional Hospital. The other two inmates were both taken to Person Memorial Hospital.
