Young girl injured in Fayetteville, North Carolina SUV, car accident

A young girl was injured in a car, SUV collision in Cumberland County, North Carolina on April 22 at 5:04 p.m. The accident occurred in Fayetteville when a 1999 Saturn attempted to turn left from Village Drive onto Ireland Drive and collided with a 2006 Ford SUV which was going straight on Village Drive. Both vehicles had the green light in their direction of travel. A 10 year old girl in the Saturn was injured. She was treated onsite by Cumberland County Fire Medics. The Ford driver and one of her four passengers was potentially injured. The injured Ford passenger was transported by Cumberland County EMS to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville. Damage to the Saturn was estimated at $5,000; damage to the Ford, $3,500.

Young boy injured, twin brother potentially injured, in Greensboro, NC car accident

An 8 year old boy was injured, and another potentially injured, in a two car accident in Guilford County, North Carolina on April 20 at 1:10 p.m. The accident occurred in Greensboro when a 2010 Ford SUV attempted to make a left turn from Fleming Road onto Fleming Terrace Road and collided with a 1993 Chevrolet pickup truck which was traveling north on Fleming Road. An 8 year old passenger in the Ford SUV was injured, while his twin brother, along with the driver, was potentially injured. The Chevrolet driver and her sole passenger were also potentially injured. Guilford County EMS transported everyone but the Chevrolet pickup truck driver to Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro. Damage to the Ford was estimated at $6,000; damage to the Chevrolet, $3,000.

At least 1 injured in collision between car and CATS bus in Charlotte, NC

One person was injured, and one potentially injured, in a car accident involving two cars and a bus in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina on April 19 at 2:27 p.m. The accident occurred in Charlotte when a 2000 Mercedes was exiting a private parking lot onto Eastway Drive, and collided with a 1998 Ford which was traveling west on Eastway Drive. The impact caused the Ford to lose control, cross into the opposing lane of traffic and hit the Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) bus head-on. The Ford driver was clearly injured, and a passenger in the Mercedes was potentially injured. Medic transported those needing medical attention to either Carolinas Medical Center - Main or Carolinas Medical Center – University, both in Charlotte. Damage to the Mercedes was estimated at $3,500; damage to the Ford, $4,000 and damage to the Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) bus, $4,500.
