The driver of a tractor trailer hauling scrap metal lost control of his vehicle while exiting Route 250 in Virginia onto Interstate 64 east (exit 99).
As a result, the truck flipped and spilled all the scrap metal contents of its trailer, which then spread across both lanes of Route 250.
Department of Transportation crews labored well into the afternoon to clean up the debris. The truck driver has been charged with failure to maintain control of his vehicle.
