Mr. Routt joined the Law Offices of James Scott Farrin in 2007 and handles mostly automobile accident cases for our clients.

Mr. Routt received his J.D. from Michigan State University School of Law. He received his B.A. in Political Science and Asian Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Mr. Routt was able to clerk for two judges early in his career and strives to use his knowledge of the judicial process to be a more effective advocate for his clients.

“I have always been someone who enjoys standing up for the ‘little guy;’ when people are injured through negligence of another person, they often have no idea what to do or who to turn to,” Mr. Routt says. “ I like to be the person that guides them through the legal process and provides them with a voice against the big insurance companies – to help still the waters in an otherwise hectic and chaotic situation.”

Mr. Routt is a member of the American Association for Justice, the North Carolina Advocates for Justice, and the North Carolina Bar Association.
