Logger truck hits, kills 43-year-old Oregon bicyclist
Police searching for driver of truck, who left the scene
On April 28, 2008, a 43-year-old bicyclist was hit and killed by a logger truck in Sanford, Oregon. Police are looking for the driver of the logger truck involved in the fatal truck accident, who left the scene. Police speculate the driver was unaware that he hit someone.
The woman riding the bicycle was not in the proper lane, police said, and her bicycle may have had faulty brakes. Police are asking anyone with information about the logger truck accident to contact the department at 1-207-324-3644.
