Driver of tractor-trailer in truck accident won’t face charges
Truck hit car while changing lanes at Mecklenburg-Gaston County Line
On May 1, 2008, a tractor-trailer was involved in a truck accident with a car at the Mecklenburg-Gaston County line in North Carolina. The truck accident occurred at the Catawba River Bridge around 10:30 p.m.
Authorities said the truck was changing lanes when it hit a car in its blind spot. The truck accident caused the car to lose control and hit the retaining wall, where it overturned. The driver of the car was taken to Carolinas Medical Center.
Police have said they will not file any charges in the truck accident.
