Car accident on I-85 kills Burlington man
39-year-old man died from injuries sustained in the car accident

On April 21, 2008, a 39-year-old man from Burlington, North Carolina was driving south on Interstate 85 when he rear-ended a boom truck owned by Branch Erection Company.
The 2005 GMC Yukon caught on fire after the car accident. The driver was initially pinned inside but freed after the fire was extinguished. He later died at an area hospital.
The driver of the boom truck involved in the car accident was unharmed.
