Driver in motorcycle accident suffers severe head injury

On May 2, 2008, a man was driving his motorcycle on Hooker Road in Greenville, North Carolina when it veered onto the curb, crossed the road and hit another curb. The motorcycle fell over, throwing the man several feet away.
The motorcyclist suffered a severe head injury in the motorcycle accident. A safety helmet was recovered at the scene of the motorcycle accident, but it was not on the motorcyclist. The driver was being treated at Pitt County Memorial Hospital.
