Fayetteville man killed in Interstate 95 hit-and-run car accident
Authorities still searching for car involved in car accident
On May 2, 2008, a 40-year-old man from Fayetteville, North Carolina was killed in a hit-and-run car accident on Interstate 95 in southern Cumberland County, North Carolina. The car accident occurred at about 10:30 p.m. in the northbound lane near Exit 41.
The car involved in the fatal car accident was a Ford Escort with a Virginia license plate. The driver left the scene, abandoning the vehicle, and later fled into the woods. Authorities are still looking for the unidentified motorist, who is believed to have moved to Florida.
