Tanker truck catches fire on Interstate 40 in Johnston County, NC
Truck accident backs up traffic for six miles

On May 5, 2008, a tanker truck was driving in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 40 in Johnston County, North Carolina when it caught on fire. The truck accident occurred near the Interstate 95 interchange.
Authorities said the cab of the tanker truck, which was carrying milk, was completely burned out. The tanker truck accident caused traffic backups of up to six miles.
