DWI car accident sends Fort Bragg soldier, baby to hospital
Man charged with DWI, careless and reckless driving
On June 12, 2008, a 31-year-old man was driving on Ramsey Street in Fayetteville, North Carolina when his car crossed the median, hitting another car head-on. The car accident sent a 24-year-old Fort Bragg soldier and his 8-month-old son to an area hospital with injuries. The drunk driver was airlifted by helicopter to UNC Hospitals with unknown injuries.
Authorities said they received calls about the man’s erratic driving, but were unable to reach him before the car accident occurred. Police have charged the man with driving while intoxicated (DWI) and careless and reckless driving.
