Lexington, NC car accident injures driver, four passengers

18-year-old driver charged with failure to reduce speed

On July 21, 2008, an 18-year-old woman was driving herself and four minors on U.S. 64 in Lexington, North Carolina when she got into a car accident. A cement truck in front of the woman’s vehicle slowed to make a left turn, but the woman did not slow down, running into the back of the truck.

The woman and all four of her passengers, ranging in age from 8 to 15, all sustained injuries in the car accident and were transported to an area hospital. The woman was charged with failure to reduce speed.
