On June 25, 2008, a 63-year-old tractor-trailer truck driver was killed in a truck accident on Interstate 35 in Purcell, Nebraska. The truck driver attempted to avoid hitting another truck that had slowed while near a construction zone, but was unable to stop.

The truck hit three tractor-trailer trucks before coming to a stop in a ditch. The impact of the tractor-trailer truck accident ejected the driver from the front of his vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the commercial truck accident.

A 12-year-old passenger in the man’s tractor-trailer truck was treated for minor injuries and released. The other drivers involved in the truck accident were not injured.
