What should I expect now?

The commercial trucking company is not likely to pay your medical bills immediately. However, if you have the appropriate coverage, your own insurance may contain medical payment provisions to pay for some of your bills. Many people are reluctant to involve their own insurance company in any medical claims process; however it is usually in your best interest to do so.

Once we set up the claim with all the responsible insurance companies, they will typically assign a “claims adjuster” who will investigate the claim for the trucking company and will work to save the insurance company money.

As our own investigation is ongoing we will keep the adjuster advised of your medical progress. Once we have a clear understanding of your medical situation we may enter into negotiations with the adjuster, or prepare to file a lawsuit on your behalf.
