Matching the contributions of individual employees

The following charitable organizations received funding under the firm's Matching Gift Program, in which the Law Offices of James Scott Farrin matches the contributions of individual employees.

American Heart Association — The American Heart Association accomplishes its mission of "building healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke," through research, legislative advocacy, public education and community outreach.

Anthony J. Trentini Foundation — Located in Wake Forest, North Carolina (Wake County), the Anthony J. Trentini Foundation promotes and rewards excellence in Wake Forest/Rolesville area schools through scholarships and educational grant programs.

Auburn University Foundation — The Auburn University Foundation supports both Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama and Auburn University-Montgomery in Montgomery, Alabama.

Best Friend Pet Adoption — Located in Cary, North Carolina (Wake County), Best Friend Pet Adoption is a no-kill animal-rescue organization in which pets reside with loving foster families until they are adopted.

The Binghamton Fund — The Binghamton Fund supports Binghamton University, a public liberal arts university in Binghamton, New York.

Boys and Girls Clubs of North Carolina — The Boys and Girls Clubs of North Carolina strives to enable young people to reach their full potential as productive, caring and responsible citizens through neighborhood-based afterschool and weekend programs.

Duke University School of Medicine, Division of Pediatric Cardiology — Located in Durham, North Carolina (Durham County), the Division of Pediatric Cardiology is the primary provider of cardiovascular diagnostic and treatment services in the southeastern, United States.

Duke University — Donation to support Duke University, a private university in Durham, North Carolina.

Durham Rescue Mission — Located in Durham, North Carolina (Durham County), the Durham Rescue Mission offers programs designed to meet the needs of the whole person, ranging from providing meals and lodging to vocational training and counseling.

East Carolina Educational Foundation — Also known as The Pirate Club, the East Carolina University (ECU) Educational Foundation Inc. provides financial support for East Carolina University Athletics. East Carolina University (ECU) is located in Greenville, North Carolina (Pitt County)

East Carolina University Medical and Health Sciences Foundation — Provides support for the East Carolina University (ECU) School of Allied Health Sciences, Brody School of Medicine and the School of Nursing, all of which are located in Greenville, North Carolina (Pitt County).

The Humane Society of the United States — Founded in 1954, The Humane Society of the United States is the nation's largest animal protection organization.

International FOP Association (IFOPA) — The International FOP Association is a non-profit worldwide organization supporting medical research, education and communication for those affected by the rare genetic condition Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva (FOP).

Kalamazoo College — Donation to support Kalamazoo College, a public university in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

Legal Aid of North Carolina — Headquartered in Raleigh, North Carolina (Wake County) , Legal Aid of North Carolina is a statewide non-profit law firm that provides free legal services in civil matters to low-income people.

Lifeline Outreach, Inc. — Located in Henderson, North Carolina (Vance County), Lifeline Outreach Inc. provides shelter for homeless women and children.

Make-A-Wish Foundation of Eastern North Carolina — Headquartered in Morrisville, North Carolina (Wake County), The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Eastern North Carolina grants the wishes of children throughout eastern North Carolina who have life-threatening medical conditions.

Merci Clinic Inc. — Located in New Bern, North Carolina (Craven County), Merci Clinic is a non-profit community clinic that has provided free healthcare services for medically uninsured adults in the Craven, Jones and Pamlico counties since 1996.

Ride for Kids — Ride for Kids is a series of nationwide regional motorcycle events that supports the efforts of the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation to find the cause of, and cure for, childhood brain tumors.

Smile Train — An international organization that provides free cleft surgery for millions of poor children in developing countries, as well as free cleft-related training for doctors and medical professionals.

Special Olympics–Massachusetts — Special Olympics-Massachusetts provides year-round sports training and athletic competition for individuals with intellectual disabilities.

St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital — St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, located in Memphis, Tennessee, is a pediatric treatment and research facility that treats patients without regard to a family's ability to pay.

Tiffany Pines Community Outreach Center — Headquartered in Fayetteville, North Carolina (Cumberland County) the Tiffany Pines Community Outreach Center has a mission of introducing children from at-risk neighborhoods to positive environments in order to build confidence, self-esteem and good work habits.

Trial Lawyers College — Located in Dubois, Wyoming, Trial Lawyers College is dedicated to training and educating lawyers and judges who are committed to the jury system, as well as representing and obtaining justice for low-income and marginalized individuals. It provides both onsite and regional seminars.

Triangle Mended Little Hearts — Triangle Mended Little Hearts is part of a nationwide network of support programs for parents and caregivers of children with heart defects and heart disease. It provides services to those in the Triangle area of North Carolina.

Women's Center of Wake County — Located in Raleigh, North Carolina (Wake County), Women's Center of Wake County addresses the issues and needs faced by Wake County's homeless and near-homeless woman and their families.
