David knows from experience that an accident can occur even in the most unlikely places.
A paratrooper in the U.S. Army, David was within the confines of Ft. Bragg when he walked behind his vehicle to pump gas. Another car came up from behind and rammed into him, pinning him between the two vehicles and severely injuring his knee.
Not paying attention to what was going on, the other driver kept his foot on the accelerator, further exasperating the pressure on David’s knee. The impact was so strong that it forced David’s vehicle to move about two feet forward, despite the fact that its brakes were on.
David decided to contact an attorney. He called the Law Offices of James Scott Farrin after seeing one of their TV commercials.
David said he appreciated his lawyer, Donald Bardes’, patience in dealing with both the civilian hospital and doctors, as well as the military side of the equation.
“The case was handled extremely well, and given the amount of red tape – which I’m sure the law firm had to go through on the military side – [it was] even better than what I had expected,” he said.
David was unable to jump for about six months. After six months, while the case was still being settled, David was called overseas. He thought this might negatively affect the law firm’s ability to communicate with him – but that was not the case.
“The fact that the firm gets back to you so quickly, and let’s you know – ‘Hey, this is what’s going on’ – is fantastic, especially with being overseas where you have an eight hour time difference,” he said.
“It gives you peace of mind, really, to let you know that, hey, I’m not just another person in their law firm. I’m not just another number on a filing system. I’m an actually person and I’m being treated as a person.
“The treatment I received from the law firm was exceptional. I’ve worked with other law firms before, not necessarily for injuries but for other types of cases. And that attention that was given to me by this law firm was something that, again, I was not expecting.”
