Attorney Cali Schmitt
Let a bilingual personal injury attorney fight for you

In 2006, Cali Schmitt joined the Law Offices of James Scott Farrin as a Bilingual Case Manager and was quickly promoted to Bilingual Litigation Paralegal. She currently serves as a Bilingual Personal Injury Attorney, handling personal injury cases for both English and Spanish-speaking clients.
Ms. Schmitt received her J.D. from North Carolina Central University. She received her B.A. in International Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She has lived in many parts of the world and has done extensive volunteer work. As an attorney, she is passionate about helping those who are traditionally without power due to a lack of income, education or English-language skills.
"My job is to prevent people from being taken advantage of," Ms. Schmitt said. "That is certainly not limited to Spanish-speakers. Anyone who is facing months without work due to an accident is tempted to take whatever money the insurance company offers. But there are added barriers if you don't fully understand the language and culture.
"We can often help people get a better legal result than if they tried to handle the problem by themselves. And what they get is only what the law says they deserved in the first place."
