Attorney Jacob Goad

A True Human Rights Advocate

Attorney Jacob Goad
866-623-2318

Jacob Goad joined the Law Offices of James Scott Farrin’s workers’ compensation department in 2013.

He received his J.D. from North Carolina Central University School of Law in Durham and a Bachelor of Arts in Romance Languages with a focus on Spanish from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, where he was a member of the Sigma Delta Pi Honor Society.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Goad worked as a paralegal for over six years in the areas of workers’ compensation and immigration law.

He now focuses exclusively on workers’ compensation cases.

Mr. Goad is a true advocate for social and human rights for all. Fluent in both Spanish and English, he has helped advocate for many whose voices may have otherwise gone unheard.

“I come from a family of hard workers and I have always enjoyed working hard for, and being on the side of hard-working people like our clients and others who may need an advocate. I’ve been privileged to help homeowners on foreclosure prevention, advocate for people of La Oroya, Peru, one of the most polluted places on the planet, and help raise funds for many missions, and social, environmental, and human rights causes.”

Mr. Goad is a member of the North Carolina State Bar, North Carolina Bar Association, Durham County Bar Association, and the North Carolina Advocates for Justice.
