Attorney Mike Garland
Mr. Garland joined the Law Offices of James Scott Farrin in 2011 as a Litigation Attorney in the Personal Injury Department.
Mr. Garland received his J.D. from Campbell University’s Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law. He received his B.A. in Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Mr. Garland understands how the insurance industry operates and finds it rewarding to help those who have been injured in an accident.
“In over 20 years of practice I have seen the devastation caused by careless drivers and businesses. In my opinion, some insurance companies constantly put profits ahead of people and ignore this devastation,” said Litigation Attorney Michael Garland. “Helping injured people fight the insurance companies is what I do, and knowing that I make a difference in their lives gives me a great deal of satisfaction.”
Mr. Garland is admitted to the North Carolina State Bar and the U.S. District Court, all districts. He is active in the North Carolina Advocates for Justice, has served on its Education Committee, and is a member of the MADD North Carolina Advisory Board.
In 2014, Mr. Garland was asked to speak to other attorneys at a continuing legal education course on the topic of “Quantifying Damages in Personal Injury Cases.”
