Teenager injured in three car accident on New Hope Church Road in Raleigh, NC

A teenager was injured in a three car accident in Wake County, North Carolina on June 19 at 6:17 p.m. The accident occurred in Raleigh when a 2003 Kia was traveling east on New Hope Church Road toward Bonneville Court behind a 1997 Toyota and an unknown SUV. When the unknown vehicle attempted to turn left onto Bonneville Court, the Kia rear-ended the Toyota, which pushed the Toyota into the unknown SUV. The unknown SUV left the scene of the crash without providing any information. The teenaged driver of the Toyota (aged 17) was clearly injured, but no medical attention was provided on site. The Kia driver was cited for failure to slow or stop to avoid a collision. Damage to the Toyota was estimated at $2,000; damage to the Kia, $2,000.
