Teenager killed in two car accident on Old Buies Creek Road near Angier, NC
An 18-year-old teenager from Lillington, NC was killed, and at least two other people were injured, following a two car accident in Harnett County, North Carolina on Nov. 18 at 10:39 a.m. The car accident occurred near Angier, NC when a 2000 Acura was traveling north on Old Buies Creek Road toward Gardner Road when it ran off the road to the right in a curve. The driver then overcorrecting, causing the vehicle to cross the center line and strike a 2007 Dodge. After impact, the Acura struck a ditch, spun around and came to rest in a field, while the Dodge struck a ditch and came to rest in the ditch. An 18-year-old teenaged passenger in the Acura was killed at the scene, while the driver was clearly injured. The Dodge driver was also clearly injured, while her 1-year-old passenger showed signs of potential injury. The Acura driver and the two occupants of the Dodge were transported by Harnett County (NC) EMS to WakeMed Hospital in Raleigh, NC. Damage to the Acura was estimated at $10,000; damage to the Dodge, $17,500.
