20-year-old man charged with DUI after Durham car accident

Man ran his truck into a home

On May 11, 2008, a 20-year-old man was driving in Durham, North Carolina when he got into a single-car accident, running into a home on Linwood Avenue. The owner of the residence was at home but was uninjured in the car accident.

Two men, the driver of the car an an apparent passenger, attempted to flee the scene of the car accident.

The driver of the car was charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) after blowing a .14 on the breathalyzer test, almost twice the legal limit. The resident of the home hit by the car said the driver had a case of Corona in his front seat. The man responsible for the car accident was also charged with driving without a license and damage to property.
