Workers' Compensation Paralegal

A successful Workers’ Compensation candidate will have previous experience as a paralegal in a law firm setting, and a superb candidate will have specific experience in Workers' Compensation. This position is responsible for a variety of tasks, including managing cases, assisting clients, scheduling meetings, follow-up calls with clients, general administrative duties, and other tasks assigned by the supervising attorney.

A successful paralegal will be able to multi-task, have attention to detail, spot issues within a case, be able to take direction, and work collaboratively within a team structure. We are seeking a candidate that is able to work independently as part of a larger team mindset, and someone who is easily able to speak and relate to clients from all backgrounds. We are seeking a confident and talented candidate for this position who desires to positively impact our clients and overall firm. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus, but not required.

Personal Injury Paralegal

Our paralegals are some of the most important points of contact for our clients as cases progress. They are in charge of performing a number of tasks, including but not limited to the following: providing excellent customer service for all clients, meeting team goals, managing a large volume caseload, ensuring legal compliance, and providing support to both a supervising attorney and the clients they serve. A James Scott Farrin paralegal truly helps establish and maintain the tone of the entire JSF experience, building rapport with clients and having a passion to try to resolve cases successfully on their behalf.

A successful paralegal will be able to multitask, have attention to detail, spot issues within a case, be able to take direction and work within a set structure, and can easily adapt to a fast paced, ever-changing environment. We work in a demanding environment and expect the highest quality of work from our employees. We are seeking a candidate that is able to work independently as part of a larger team mindset, and someone who is easily able to speak and relate to clients from all backgrounds.

We pride ourselves on a strong legacy that is committed to the highest quality of service for our clients. Our office hours vary anywhere from 8am-6pm, and we are seeking a candidate with a flexible schedule. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus, but not required. A successful candidate will be computer savvy to accommodate working in a complex case management system and be able to handle detail oriented work. Although relevant paralegal experience is preferred, we will consider high potential candidates with a demonstrated track record of professional achievement.

Bilingual Front Desk Coordinator (English/Spanish)

Our Front Desk Coordinator is the first impression of James Scott Farrin for our clients, guests, and vendors. We are looking for a candidate that is skilled working in a fast paced environment, has a positive attitude, and possesses a dynamic and courteous personality. Our ideal candidate has strong communication skills, professional appearance and demeanor, and the highest level of accuracy with multitasking ability. We are seeking someone with a strong work ethic that wants to establish a long term career with a growing company.

Essential responsibilities include:

  • Handling a high volume of visitor traffic in the office
  • Scheduling meetings and conference rooms
  • Assist staff and guests with daily activity coordination
  • Order supplies and catering
  • Answer inbound multiline calls
  • Completing administrative reports
  • Managing an information database
  • Participate in client events
  • Responsible for security measures
  • Variety of other administrative duties
  • Knowledge of telecommunication technology is a plus
  • Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills required
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
