Communication Policy
Reasonable communication between the lawyer and the client is necessary for the client effectively to participate in the representation. The Law Offices of James Scott Farrin (“JSF”) follows Rule 1.4 of the North Carolina and South Carolina rules of professional conduct as it relates to keeping clients and potential clients informed about their matter(s). These are the local regulations established by the North Carolina Bar and the South Carolina Bar which JSF is required to follow. As a result of Rule 1.4, any contact with JSF, including but not limited to phone calls, SMS, iMessage, Text Messages, e-mail, written correspondence or any other present and future forms of communication constitutes your consent to receive communication from JSF via any form of communication, including but not limited to phone calls, SMS, iMessage, Text Messages, e-mail, written correspondence or any other present and future forms of communication. JSF sends communications to an individual where it has a prior relationship, or an individual taken some action to trigger the communication. If an individual has expressed a preference to not receive communication from JSF, we will no longer contact you.
