“I particularly enjoy guiding clients through the legal process and using the law as a tool to try to achieve the best possible outcome for them.”
Attorney Jennie R. Glish
Jennie R. Glish joined the Law Offices of James Scott Farrin in 2017 handling personal injury cases. She is a committed and passionate advocate for others who strives to help injured people seek the full compensation they may deserve.
Jennie grew up in a small town in Wisconsin with supportive parents, the youngest of two sisters. She was always fascinated by law and politics and initially planned to work as a journalist or writer in Washington, D.C.
Pivoting Towards Law
During her junior year in college at the University of Wisconsin (UW), Jennie had a transformational internship that would set her on the path towards becoming an attorney. She interned with the U.S. Department of Justice in the Consumer Protection Branch of the Civil Division. Jennie thrived alongside passionate government attorneys and paralegals who were working on behalf of consumers on criminal and civil cases – and saw how the law could be used to help aggrieved individuals and the public at large.
Jennie graduated with distinction from UW with a B.A. in Political Science and Legal Studies. After college, she traveled often as part of her work with the Department of Justice to work closely with federal agents and U.S. Attorneys offices throughout the country on criminal civil rights violation cases. This experience solidified her decision to attend law school, with the hope of bringing justice to those who had been harmed. Jennie earned her J.D. from the University of North Carolina School of Law at Chapel Hill, graduating with honors.
A Committed Personal Injury Attorney
In addition to personal injury cases, Jennie has experience handling legal matters pertaining to pharmaceutical and device product liability, construction claims, negligence claims, medical malpractice, wrongful death, and contract and lease disputes. She has been named to the “Ones to Watch” list by Best Lawyers from 2021-2024.4 Jennie also serves as a member of the North Carolina Bar Association and the North Carolina Advocates for Justice.
Busy at Home
At home, Jennie is surrounded by her “absolutely amazing husband, a crazy old dog, and a brilliant, kind, hilarious child.” She and her husband enjoy playing golf and traveling to attend concerts when they can get away. Jennie also serves on her neighborhood HOA Board and is an involved parent, helping with the local Scout troop and working on the School Improvement Team and PTA Board at her child’s elementary school.
