Jennifer Horn wears many hats at the Law Offices of James Scott Farrin: Operations Coordinator, Operations Analyst, and Lead Paralegal. She supports firm-wide operations with a focus on the Major Injury Litigation practice and Eminent Domain cases in Georgia – all while leading a dynamic team of paralegals focused on helping our attorneys seek justice for our clients.

Native North Carolinian

Jennifer was born and raised in North Carolina with a strong work ethic and a conviction to stand up for what is right. Her disciplined upbringing and extensive involvement in band throughout high school instilled qualities that would later become professional strengths. Jennifer majored in music education in college and shifted her focus towards law years later, after a skills test identified paralegal as her ideal career choice. The rest, as they say, is history…

The Right Fit

Jennifer was drawn to James Scott Farrin by its defined approach as a business-driven law firm with a client-first orientation. She started as a paralegal on smaller injury cases before transitioning to major injury cases. She then began handling operations for her department, as well as for the rest of the firm, in addition to her role as a paralegal.

Throughout her 10+ years at the firm, Jennifer’s responsibilities have continued to expand. She has played an integral role in many important initiatives aimed at streamlining processes and improving collaboration that have helped establish the firm as an industry powerhouse.

Whether she is leading the charge on adopting “lean” process improvements or evaluating and implementing new legal technology solutions, Jennifer’s no-nonsense approach and take-charge management style have been essential. Her role and leadership on the firm’s AI Implementation Team earned her notice by the Triangle Business Journal, who profiled her in a feature on how law firms are utilizing AI to improve efficiencies.

Jennifer finds immense professional satisfaction in helping people develop professionally, in creating practical solutions to complex issues, and in building high-performing teams. Her leadership abilities are propelled by her direct communication, ability to rapidly identify issues and patterns, and her capacity for objective decision-making tempered by genuine concern for her colleagues.

Off the Clock

Never satisfied with the status quo, Jennifer enjoys listening to podcasts focused on leadership and operations and reading self-improvement books. Away from work, she finds relaxation (and escape) in psychological thrillers and watching TV. Jennifer resides in Mebane with her husband John, their dog, Lacy, and cat, Molly.
