November 7th, 2019: Four attorneys from the Law Offices of James Scott Farrin received the Order of Service award from North Carolina Advocates for Justice for the 2019-2019 fiscal year. Rick Fleming, Matthew Harbin, Anabel Rosa, and J. Gabe Talton all demonstrated extraordinary dedication to others that serves as an example for us all. The NCAJ doesn’t give this award lightly, reserving it for those who go above and beyond, and use their skills selflessly to help others. Attorneys Anabel Rosa and J. Farrin Latino Outreach Committee Connects With Hundreds of People at Fiesta 2019 in Winston-Salem
October 17th, 2019: The Law Offices of James Scott Farrin was an “Especial Sponsor” of the 27th annual Fiesta on Sept. 14, 2019. The firm’s Latino Outreach Committee had a booth at the event. They took the opportunity to answer general questions visitors had about JSF as they celebrated the Hispanic and Lantinx community. Of the firm’s 200 employees, about a quarter are of Hispanic/Latinx origin, and even more speak Spanish. The committee’s goal is to inform, educate, and connect the community to the various legal practice areas of the firm.

September 10th, 2019: Litigation attorneys Hoyt Tessener and Coleman Cowan represented a high school teacher involved in a car crash that resulted in severe, life-altering injuries. Tessener and Coleman took the case to trial and after only 55 minutes of deliberation, the jury reached a verdict of $2.1 million1 for the client, in what is reportedly the largest ever jury verdict for a single plaintiff to date in Hoke County.

Durham 8K Road Race Sponsored by James Scott Farrin for the Seventh Year
May 23rd, 2019: The Law Offices of James Scott Farrin was a primary sponsor of the 11th annual Running of the Bulls 8K road race in downtown Durham. This was the seventh consecutive year that the firm has sponsored the race. Fun and fitness is a large part of the firm’s culture. The firm engages in multiple activities throughout the year to motivate and inspire employees to become more mindful of their health and fitness.
