November 17th, 2016: James Scott Farrin Social Security Disability Attorney Rick Fleming was re-elected to the Board of Directors of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants' Representatives (NOSSCR) for a third term. Members elected him to represent the Fourth and D.C. Circuits. “The NOSSCR is a highly valuable organization that advocates to improve the disability determination and adjudication process. It has been my honor to serve alongside others in this worthwhile organization, and I look forward to rolling up my sleeves again this year in an effort to offer meaningful contributions to the organization and ultimately to the claimants who depend on us,” Fleming said.

August 11th, 2016: Employees of the Law Offices of James Scott Farrin recently adopted mile 2 to 3 of the Walnut Creek Greenway Trail in southeast Raleigh near New Hope Road and the Walnut Creek Amphitheater. Adopting the greenway is part of continued efforts by the firm’s expanding Green Team in their pledge to “individually and collectively make the world a better place, do our part to reduce our environmental footprint, and strive to be increasingly conscious of the environment in everyday decisions.”

June 23rd, 2016: James S. Farrin, president and founder of the Law Offices of James Scott Farrin, spoke at a class on law firm business models at the Duke University School of Law Master of Judicial Studies program in June 2016. He was among four guest instructors invited to the law school, which is ranked #11 nationally the "U.S. News & World Report" Education rankings. Farrin presented on how a successful personal injury law firm is run, which is a topic he is uniquely familiar with and well recognized for throughout our state. Farrin’s business model, which is somewhat unique to most law firms, is something that began percolating in his mind since his own law school days at Duke University, where he graduated with honors.
James Scott Farrin Banner Sponsor of Durham’s Running of the Bulls 8K
May 31st, 2016: For the 4th time, the Law Offices of James Scott Farrin will sponsor the Running of the Bulls 8K community road race and USA Track & Field 8K Championship. This year’s 8th annual race will take place in downtown Durham on Saturday, June 4th at 7:15 a.m. at the Durham Athletic Park. Every year the Running of the Bulls event benefits a local non-profit, and this year’s beneficiary is Triangle Residential Options for Substance Abusers (TROSA). To date the event has netted more than $10,000 for DurhamCares, Habitat for Humanity, and TROSA.
