What You Should Know About Our Workersâ Compensation Team
When considering a firm to fight for you, look at the team, the track record, and the resources the firm brings to bear. How much experience do the workersâ comp attorneys have? What are their backgrounds? Why should you trust them to fight for you?
Weâve seen workersâ comp from nearly every angle imaginable. Our breadth of experience as a team gives us intimate knowledge of the system, the laws governing it, and the insurance companiesâ tactics. If youâve been injured at work, contact us anytime, 24/7 at 1-866-900-7078 for a free case evaluation.
We Have Attorneys Who Formerly Worked for the Commission
Our team includes two attorneys who formerly served on the North Carolina Industrial Commission (NCIC). In other words, weâre not surprised by what the Commission does, we know how it works, and how to work within the system, striving for the best outcome for our North Carolina clients.
We Have Professionals Who Formerly Worked for Insurance Companies
Some of the people on our team formerly worked for insurance companies and know firsthand how these firms do business. They got tired of defending big insurers who sought to pay out as little as possible to injured workers. Now, they put their knowledge of insurance companiesâ tactics and business practices to use fighting for as much compensation as possible for our clients. We know their methods, and how to try to counter them.
We Have NC State Bar Board Certified Specialists
The word âspecialistâ is a very important one in North Carolina workersâ compensation law. It refers to North Carolina State Bar Board Certified Specialists in specific areas of Law. As of January 2025, there are fewer than 150 workersâ compensation specialists licensed in the state.5
âUnder 27 NCAC 01D Section .2701, the North Carolina State Bar Board of Legal Specialization has designated workersâ compensation as a field of law for which certification of specialists is permitted. Only attorneys that qualify for this designation are entitled to use the term âBoard Certified Specialist in Workersâ Compensation Law.ââ
We have several of these NC State Bar Board Certified Specialists on our team. For more background on what it takes to become a workersâ compensation specialist in North Carolina, you can read the NC Barâs page on legal specialization for workersâ comp.
Our firm has been recognized by Best LawyersÂź as one of the âBest Law Firmsâ for workersâ compensation for the greater Raleigh area in 2025.4
